There are many Western people who think of Chinese women as submissive and shy. This is considered a misunderstanding, which can be due to confusion between Chinese and Japanese ladies. The Japanese ladies are the ones who are submissive and shy and quite different from Chinese women and girls. I still have to meet one Chinese girl or woman who is shy.
Western women tend to have suspicion about Western guys who date Asian girls. These women think that Asian girls are only dating Western guys to escape poverty. I am guessing this can be true sometimes. However Western girls are likely to enter marriage for the money as well.
While it may be true that girls from the Thai mail order bride mostly come from poverty stricken areas in Thailand, this is definitely not the same with Chinese girls seeking Western men for marriage. China’s economy is booming and the country has an excellent education system. It can then be said that most Chinese girls seeking Western guys for marriage are well-educated with nice careers in their country. In dating sites where the Western guys are able to have a chat with Chinese girls, most Chinese girls joining these sites have decent jobs. I even came across some of them who work as company executives, teachers, translators, doctors, as well as other professions in the dating site called Chnlove. The living standard and wages in China may be a little lower, however these girls are not exactly what you can call of poverty stricken condition.
